Planting flowers is a fun and educational way to celebrate springtime. If your kid is a Sunny Day super-fan, try this project together. Just a warning though, your kid might develop a green thumb…and possibly some purple fingers.

What You’ll Need
- Flower pots, 4″ in. diameter
- Outdoor acrylic paint*
- Fertilizer
- 3″ Sponge brush
- Blue brushes
- Popsicle sticks
- Paper plate
- Scissors
- Sunny Day Plant Label Printable, see below

How to Make
Step One: Paint the base of the flower pot with the specified color provided above. For wide even strokes, place pot on the plate, hold the 3″ sponge brush to the surface, and rotate the plate.
Step Two: After the base color has dried, paint the top section of the pot with the secondary color specified above.
Step Three: With a small tip brush, paint a Sunny-inspired design on the base of the pot with your secondary and accent colors.
Step Four: Print out the Sunny Day Plant Labels provided above. Cut along the dotted line and attach them to popsicle sticks.
