Add a dose of garden-variety cuteness to fresh strawberries with a twist on the chocolate-dipped classic.
What You’ll Need
- 4 large strawberries, stems removed, halved
- 1/2 melting chocolate (chocolate chips or discs), melted
- mint leaves
- parchment piping bag
How to Make:
Step 1: Wash strawberries. Pat dry and slice into halves long-wse.
Step 2: Melt chocolate chips in the microwave (use 10-second bursts, stirring in between, until completely smooth).
Step 3: Dip narrow end of strawberries (one at a time!) into the melted chocolate to create a “face”. About ⅓ of the berry should be covered.
Step 4: Use a pastry bag filled with chocolate, or a plastic bag with the corner cut off, to add ladybug spots to each berry. Set aside to cool.
Step 5: Rest each ladybug on a mint leaf for a sweet treat any time of day.
