You’ll want clear skies and a nice breeze to launch these cute, homemade recycled kites high up in the air. It’s a great indoor project that culminates with running in the great outdoors!
What You’ll Need
- Recycled Plastic Bags
- Cardboard
- Skewers (x2)
- Marker
- Glue Stick
- Cardstock Paper
- Tape
- String
- Scissors
How to Make:
Step 1: Draw and cut out cardstock in the shape of a jellyfish body.
Step 2: Cut a plastic bag on all three sides and use the glue stick to glue the bag to both sides of the cardboard jellyfish (should completely cover the jellyfish).
Step 3: Cut strips of plastic bag so that it looks like tentacles. Glue or tape to the backside of the jellyfish.
Step 4: Tape skewers in an X formation to the backside of the kite.
Step 5: Cut two pieces of string, one long and one short. Tie the shorter string onto the longer one and wrap the rest of the long string around a piece of cardboard.
Step 6: Decorate any way you like (we like Jellyfish spots!)
Step 7: Fly away!
